Discover the best Bullet Journal template for Notion with me.
In a time defined by constant information overload, the timeless art of journaling emerges as a powerful tool for regaining control over our lives and enhancing productivity. Among the various journaling methods, the Bullet Journal stands out as a versatile and customizable system that not only helps organize tasks and goals but also encourages creativity to flourish. While designed for analog planning, a digital alternative with a Bullet Journal Notion Template can be even more powerful than its traditional counterpart.
In fact, Notion makes it very easy to customize your digital space, adding themes, pages, collections, and tracking habits and progress with a database.
What is Bullet Journaling?
At its core, the Bullet Journal is a method of analog organization that beautifully merges the worlds of planning, tracking, and self-expression. Created by Ryder Carroll, this system offers a streamlined approach to capturing your thoughts, tasks, events, and notes in a systematic and visually appealing manner. With the help of a few key symbols, such as dots, circles, and dashes, you can quickly differentiate between tasks, events, and ideas, making it an effective method for both organizing your to-dos and documenting your journey.
So if you're ready to give digital bullet journaling a try, I've curated some of the best bullet journal templates to get you started.

Best Bullet Journal Template for Notion
Analog Bullet Journal System
If you're a die-hard fan of bullet journaling or any pen and paper planning, you may want to carry that analog look into Notion. That's exactly what this Bullet Journal, called "Analog," is designed for.
The collection, or module, system in the Bullet Journal is even more powerful in this Analog version. It can easily replace your birthday tracking, your to-be-read list, your habit tracking, food and exercise logs, and more.
One thing I truly love about this Bullet Journal is that it carries on the key concept. Keys are symbols used as a legend to quickly identify and differentiate logs. In this system, the same functionality is used with icon templates. So you can log any item on the go and visually identify its type. And of course, you can customize your key or add a new one.
What’s Included
When you download the template, you’ll get access to 2 versions, one designed for dark mode and one for light mode. The author, Jamie Butler of Notion Things, also added a demo version (with content) and a blank version to start from scratch, so you don’t need to delete all the entries before starting. You can also take a look at the demo to see how the template works.
Overall, I think that this is one of the best digital bullet journals, especially considering that it’s free. If you're already a bujo lover and want to move into digital planning without losing that analog, pen & paper feeling, this is a great option.
Key Features
- Analog feel and look
- Light Mode & Dark Mode included
- Free to duplicate
Superb Bullet Journal (2023)
This Bullet Journal system is one of the most comprehensive, well-designed, and thought-out systems I've seen, making it second on this list. This template will help you plan every quarter, month, and day in both work and life efficiently to achieve work-life balance.
One of the best features is the updated version of the template for 2023 to mid-2023, which has the days, months, and weeks pre-filled. This makes it much faster to use because you don't have to add the pages yourself. The downside is that the template needs to be purchased for the current year, which might be a problem for some (although we are used to this for paper planners).
So what's included?
This template is massive, with more than 600 pages and 12 databases (most are weekly, daily, and monthly log pages).
- Annual Goals Planner
- Quarterly Reviews
- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Log
- Habit Tracker
- Projects and Tasks Planner
- Shopping and Meal Planners
Key Features
- Pre-filled with days, weeks, and months
- Designed by an experienced bujo user
- A free version can be explored before committing to purchasing the paid one.
Gratitude Journal
Keeping a daily journal with reflection, affirmation, and gratitude has been shown to boost happiness, motivation, and well-being. This template is both beautiful and functional, making it easier to keep up with your daily journaling.
It includes pre-filled prompts to reflect on your day and life, and is optimized for both light and dark mode.
Life Journal
Another free template on your list that can be used as your bullet journal system is the Life Journal Notion Template. It is a dynamic checklist designed to transform the way you manage your goals. If you need a more structured approach to your journaling routine, the Life Journal can be a valid ally.
What's Included:
Goal Setting: The Life Journal includes a firsthand tested goal-setting system. It's more than a journal; it's a goal-setting framework to help you achieve your goals faster.
Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Planning: The template includes prefilled templates for planning. For each section, there are a lot of columns and properties to help you get organized.
For example, the daily page includes a sleep tracker, goal tracker, gratitude tracker, daily reflection, and tracking.
All databases are interconnected, so on your weekly page, for example, you will see your monthly goal, and on the monthly page, you can access your quarterly goal.
Consider that the template is free and a very well thought out system that I can easily recommend.
Key Features:
- Complete planning and journaling system
- Fully interconnected database
- Guided Walkthrough & Pro Tips
Notion Bullet Journal
This Bullet Journal is designed by YouTuber Chris's Notion. The template is free to duplicate, looks great on dark mode, and has a custom header.
You can also build the template yourself by following the video tutorial on Chris's channel.
What's Included
The template itself comes with one calendar database. You can create a new daily bullet journal with the pre-filled template. The daily page includes daily reflections like the highlight of the day, gratitude, and affirmations.
It's definitely less comprehensive and articulated than other templates on this list, and to me, it feels more like a gratitude journal than a bullet journal, but you can easily customize it to add your collections, pages, and trackers.
Key Features
- Dark Mode
- Easy to use
- Free
